Many of our employees have benefited from our program. Our stores have given away over $600,000 worth of merchandise to people in need through referrals from 60 area agencies and churches since 2003.

  • Thrift City opened on November 1, 2003 on the corner of 10th and Monroe, but moved to its current location in May 2010.
  • Thrift City is a retail store selling clothing, furniture, linens, and housewares
  • Thrift City is the drop-off location for all your donations. The large, secure drop-off area is located in the parking lot on the north side of the building on Adams Street.

Thrift City Too

  • Thrift City Too opened on May 14, 2010
  • A collaboration with Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch has allowed DWC to use this former storage building to expand our operations. In exchange of their generosity, Boys Ranch alumni enjoy opportunities for employment and free merchandise.
  • Thrift City Too is stocked with seasonal/holiday décor, toys, sporting goods, luggage, crafts, handyman items, medical equipment, and large appliances.

The Uptown Shoppe

  • The Uptown Shoppe opened on February 1, 2008.
  • Items include antiques, furs, clothing, shoes and accessories and other quality merchandise donated to DWC.
  • All donations for The Uptown Shoppe are accepted at DWC’s Thrift City receiving center located at 812 SW 10th (Northeast corner of 10th and Adams).
  • The Uptown Shoppe is not a consignment store.
