It’s been said that a mother would “take a bullet for her child, but she couldn’t stop using for her child.” The ladies living at Downtown Women’s Center are working on the sobriety for themselves AND their children.
As sober mothers, they are able to focus on ALL the needs of their children, such as medical needs.
Leah’s sobriety has allowed her to be with her daughter during a recent surgery and post-surgical therapy.
Mariana has successfully completed several months of therapy, going 2-3 times per week.
